Honor Roll Party

Students who have made the honor roll were invited to attend this celebration! We also are members of the Junior National Honor Society

College Board

Our college is Georgia State University. We've used the college board as a  visual motivational tool. Students wrote personal narratives concerning their "Dream College." Also, included on the board is a blank name badge with the title, "Imagine your name here." Students also used the "Connect With Us" brochure to visit the college's webpage with the use of technology in the classroom.

While it seems that yesterday was the beginning of the school year, soon we will be starting enrollment for the 2013-2014 school year. Here is the timeline:

  • Friday March 1, 2013: Enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year closes. No new students will be admitted for the current year after this date.
  • March 4, 2013 to March 15, 2013: Re-enrollment for current students and enrollment for new students who are siblings of current students opens. You must turn in your child’s re-enrollment for during this time to reserve their seat for the 2013-2014 school year. Siblings of current students must also turn in all enrollment forms during this time to se given sibling preference. It does NOT guarantee them a seat. If grades are over enrolled, there will be a lottery to determine what students will be given open seats.
  •  March 18, 2013 to March 28, 2013: Open enrollment for ALL students opens. Any student may enroll during this period. However, re-enrolling students and siblings are NOT given preference during this period. If grades are over-enrolled, these students will be placed in the non-sibling lottery, which is conducted AFTER the sibling lottery.
  • Wednesday April 10, 2013: Lottery for over-enrolled grades, to be held at the library, at 4:00 p.m. Public is welcome to attend.
Please mark your calendars now. It is imperative you submit your student’s forms as detailed above to give your student the best chance at obtaining a seat for the 2013-2014 school year.
